Study: Opisthorchis felineus Genome sequencing and assembly
show Abstracthide Abstract
Trematodes, or flukes, are parasitic flatworms which are widely spread in the world, and cause serious harm to humans and other animals. Opisthorchis felineus, the causative agent of opisthorchiasis, is a member of the triad of epidemiologically important liver fish-borne trematodes, which also includes Opisthorchis viverrini and Clonorchis sinensis. The project aimed at sequensing and assembly of the O. felineus genome.
Sample: Opisthorchis felineus adult stage worms obtained from hamsters infected with locally collected metacercariae
